Thermal process monitoring – now with direct CO2 measurement
For many combustion processes in manufacturing companies, the CO2 content is very important for the optimal setting and combustion evaluation. With standard fuels and known maximum CO2 values, this value can be calculated using the O2 measurement. For process systems such as cement or lime production in which additional CO2 is emitted from the material, a direct CO2 measurement is necessary. This provides information on the true CO2 value. This CO2 measurement is important for thermal processes that are operated using liquid oxygen as ambient air. The accuracy of the O2 measurement is considerably improved by a CO2 compensation. For these applications, a new module for direct CO2 measurement is included in the testo 350-S or -XL mobile flue gas measuring system - based on infrared technology.
